Travel Philippines: Explore and Enjoy the City of Pagadian

A chartered city found in the province of Zamboanga del Sur and a regional center of Zamboanga Peninsula, Pagadian City is a place where country development and urban life are perfectly blended. This is a mix of busy business establishments and relaxing nature spots perfect for those who want to unwind for a little while. To give you a peak, here is a list of Pagadian City’s tourist spots, things to enjoy and experience, and other attractions:

The best way to get around the city is through its iconic tricycle that is inclined on 25-40 degrees. Explore the city in its uphill and downhill terrains through a seemingly roller coaster ride.

Sited 7 kilometers from the city proper of Pagadian is a two-tier waterfall with lush vegetations in the surroundings and a thick forest with huge trees. The locales would tell that a white monkey can be found along the way, but not all have found this white monkey.

Found in the heart of a huge fishpond, this is a good place to have lunch, where you could have a taste of Pagadian City’s fresh kinds of seafood.

Surely, everyone would love to see an elevated view high above the city, overlooking the aqua fresh waters of Yllana Bay. This is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the refreshing wind, and feel the moment as you take the great view.

Known to be one of the famous adventure spots of Pagadian City, this is located 700 meters above sea level, giving a breathtaking view of the city proper. Here is where you’ll find communication towers that are standing tall at the peak of Mt. Palpalan. If you are the adventurous kind of person, you can trek the paved road towards the peak, and if you opt to go for a hassle-free way up there, you can take a tricycle going up.

Even though many have said that nothing can be bought for one peso these days, it is still good news that we can get something for only 2 pesos. Somewhere along the hawker stalls near Plaza Luz is where you can have your barbecue dinner for only 2 pesos each.
